For the past 28 years, Cindy Boyle has been a resident of the Town of Peshtigo, and since April 2021, Boyle has been the Chairperson of the Town of Peshtigo. During her run for candidacy, Boyle says, “it was because I felt I accomplished everything that was possible from an outside position and I recognized to make further progress around permanent safe water I was thinking I would be more impactful if I had a seat at the table.”
Boyle says, “I am acting in the interest of every resident in the town. Empirically, every resident that is impacted by this water contamination issue.”
Boyle states that with her leadership, the Town of Peshtigo kept its title of having the lowest property tax rate in all of Marinette County and during her term, residents saw a decrease of 1.5 percent to the town’s portion of their property taxes. The town balanced its annual operating budget and secured its contingency funds, and received more than $2.5 million in grant funding to be used toward such improvements as safe water, fire department and emergency rescue squad equipment, technology, engineering and Townhall remodeling projects. The Wisconsin Spring election is set for April 4th.
