The Wall That Heals, Vietnam Veteran Memorial Replica and Mobile Education Center is returning to Crivitz June 1st through the 4th. It honors more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and bears the names of over 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. Jessica Witt Volunteer Coordinator for the Wall That Heals says, “the cost of hosting the event in 2018 was about $40,000 just to be able to host it. We are definitely encouraging some monetary donations, as well as some volunteers.”
Rebecca Deschane Co-Chair of the Committee for the Wall That Heals says, “people can donate in a few different ways and every donation matters. Whether it is a $10 donation or a $2,500 donation. All of those donations add up and help us over time.”
Vietnam Veteran John Deschane
The event is free to attend and accommodates all ages. Schools and veterans’ clubs and organizations are encouraged to register for free Group Tours by visiting villageofcrivitz.com. Also, on May 31st there will be a parade guiding the Wall That Heals through the various towns, until it meets its destination in Crivitz…more details to come.
