During the public comment portion of last week’s Menominee School Board meeting, School Board President Derek Butler addresses the audience by saying, “I can’t emphasize the importance of the upcoming millage vote on May 2nd. The operation millage is what funds this school, and without it we do not have a school.”

Butler says, “I hope from a community perspective, so that everyone understands, how important May 2nd really is.

On May 2nd, resident voters are asked to vote to renew the 18-mill operating tax levy for the school district. If approved, the renewal would be in effect for another ten-years.
