A prison sentence was handed down by the Honorable Christopher S. Ninomiya to Jeffrey Allen Blunk, 59, of Menominee in the 41st Circuit Court for Operating/Maintaining a Laboratory involving Methamphetamine. The case began in July, 2020 when UPSET received an anonymous tip about a possible methamphetamine manufacturing laboratory at 3400 10th Street, Lot #100, in a Menominee trailer park. The tip source said that Blunk was the occupant of the mobile home and was “cooking” methamphetamine there. The investigation showed that Blunk made 18 separate purchases, totaling 47.28 grams, of pseudoephedrine, other “precursor ingredients” and components used in the “one pot” or “shake and bake” method of methamphetamine manufacturing. A search warrant was executed on August 25th, 2020 where the meth lab was discovered and Blunk was arrested. Blunk was sentenced to 18 months to ten-years in prison.
