Krista Jean Frenzel, 34, of Menominee, was sentenced to 30 months to 10 years in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine. Frenzel pled guilty on February 22nd to two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, arising out of two separate incidents. The first incident occurred on November 19, 2020, when, during the execution of a search warrant at 908 16th Street, Menominee, UPSET detectives seized an “eight ball” of methamphetamine, a drug scale, and $645 from Frenzel. The second incident occurred on December 10, 2020, when a Menominee Police Department Officer stopped a 2003 Chrysler driven by Frenzel on West Drive in Menominee. A Menominee Police Department K-9 alerted on the vehicle and the officer located Gem baggies containing 2.11g, .53g, and .36g of methamphetamine. Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg says, “Ms. Frenzel’s cases illustrate the powerful hold that methamphetamine has on addicts, and why it is so difficult to break. I know her very well, and I am dismayed that she still craves methamphetamine, likes the high, the experience of using it. At some point, a prison sentence is the only option left available.” The Honorable Christopher S. Ninomiya handed down the sentence on April 20th in the 41st Circuit Court.
