The suspect in an Armed Robbery in Menominee Tuesday evening was quickly apprehended. Menominee County Prosecutor Jeffrey Rogg reports Robert John-Walter Wilson, 42, late of Marinette, Wisconsin, was arraigned yesterday in 95-A District Court charged in a multiple-count Felony Complaint with Armed Robbery and Assault With Intent to Rob While Armed. Each offense carries a possible prison sentence of up Life or any term of years.
The Complaint says a cashier in the liquor department at the Jack’s Fresh Market grocery store in Menominee reported to Menominee Police Department Officers that a male entered the store around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and presented a handwritten note which stated, “I have a gun give me the money and no one gets hurt.” The cashier further reported that the suspect put his hand in his pocket to mimic holding a gun, and stated, “I’m not messing around and I’ll blast you.” He got away with some $770.
Menominee Police Officers reviewed store surveillance video footage of the incident and the suspect was quickly located at the nearby Holiday Gas Station, identified as the person in the surveillance video, and arrested.
A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled on June 14, 2023; and a Preliminary Examination on June 26, 2023. Judge Robert Jamo set Wilson’s bond in the amount of $150,000.00, cash/surety.
