On Friday, June 9th, in the 41st District Court, the Honorable Christopher S. Ninomiya sentenced 60-year-old, Harrris Paul Desotell of Menominee to thirteen months to two years in prison for Maintaining a Drug House. On February 9th, Menominee Police Officers responded to Desotell’s residence, 1314 23rd Avenue, Menominee, where the body of Bridget Marie Zuraski,40, was found in an upstairs bedroom. Menominee Police Officers located powdery substances which tested positive for cocaine and methamphetamine. An autopsy determined that Zuratski died of fentanyl and methamphetamine toxicity. According to Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg Mr. Desotell has had 15 prior criminal convictions between 1978 and 2023. Rogg says, “Mr. Desotell’s impact on vulnerable drug addicts in this community has posed a significant risk of harm to them. Clearly, Mr. Desotell has no respect for the law, and there has been a pattern of ongoing “collateral damage” with others. Unfortunately, the defendant continued his criminal behavior in this case, with deleterious results for Ms. Zuratski.”
