A 61-year-old Menominee Woman is Sentenced to 18 months to 10-years in prison for two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine

61-year-old, Patricia Ann Williams, of Menominee, was sentenced to 18 months to 10 years in prison for two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine. According to court documents and information presented in open court, the first incident occurred on July 20^th, 2021, when Detectives for the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET), using a Confidential Informant (CI), conducted a controlled purchase of four Suboxone® strips from Williams at 819 4^th Street in Menominee, for $100. The second incident occurred on August 4, 2021, when UPSET Detectives and a CI bought 1.38 grams of methamphetamine from Williams at the same location, for $120. On October 12^th, 2021, Marinette Sheriff Deputies interviewed Williams, who admitted that she had “hooked up friends” with the drugs, and that she “last sold meth a month ago.” Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Rogg says, “Ms. Williams had likely felony convictions in 2013, 2018, and two in 2021. She has been placed on community supervision numerous times previously and has documented violations during those terms of probation. Her abject failure to conform her behavior to that required of any law-abiding citizen suggests to me that she is not ready to commit herself to living up to the expectations of the Court nor t the laws of our state.” The prison sentences were handed down on Monday, October 2^nd, by the Honorable Mary B. Barglind, in the 41^st Circuit Court.
