Wheel Hike Together is an adaptive hiking experience at Thunder Mountain Overlook in Marinette County that is happening now until Sunday, October 8th. Marinette County Development and Tourism Director Jenny Short says, “individuals with limited mobility can get out and enjoy up to a three-mile hike.”
Short says, “there’s not an age requirement. You don’t have to show proof of disability status, anything like that.”
Wheel Hike Together event staff will greet pre-registered event participants at a tent at the park entrance and familiarize them with the use of the mobility devices. From there, participants and their companions will explore the park for one or two hours. You can hike, enjoy a picnic, pose for pictures, and enjoy the scenic overlook.
