The Healthy Youth Coalition, along with the Tri City Event Series, will once again beholding their ‘HYC Glow Color Blast 5K Fun Run/Walk’ this Saturday, October 7th at Henes Park. Karianne Lesperance Executive Director for Prevention Services at the Menominee County ISD with the Healthy Youth Coalition and Communities that Care says, “it’s an alternative activity in our community that is drug and alcohol free. It’s also a great healthy activity and a family friendly event.”
Lesperance says, “the route for the race will be the Henes Park loop when you go into the park. The race is starting off at the third pavilion. When you are driving into the park, it’s the third pavilion on the left. It’s the biggest pavilion at Henes Park. We hold registration in that pavilion.”
All funds raised from the HYC Glow Color Blast Fun Run/Walk will go back into youth substance use prevention projects and activities within Marinette and Menominee Counties. For more information, visit mmhyc.org, or search on Facebook, or call at 906-863-5665 extension 1038.
