It might’ve taken over three years of litigation, tens of thousands of dollars, and increasing insurance premiums, but litigation between the City of Marinette Alderperson Doug Oitzinger and the City of Marinette and the Marinette Common Council has ended. An Oconto County Judge made his ruling earlier this week. In official court documents, it states that the court dismisses the complaint regarding the October 6^th, 2020, meeting, specifically, finding no violation of the Open Meetings Law; and regarding the October 7^th,2020, meeting, specifically, finding they violated the Open Meetings Law. While the court is not unsympathetic to their problem. Other parties wanted them to provide water to the Town of Peshtigo.
