The Marinette County Parks Department is hosting a candle hike at Goodman Park on Saturday, January 20th from 4:30pm to 8pm. Jenny Short Marinette County’s Tourism and Community Development Director says, “this is one of those fun things about winter. We get to experience nature in a little bit of a different way.”
Short says, “we bumped up the time of the hike.”
Goodman Park is located 19 miles west of Amberg, 34 miles northwest of Crivitz of 44 miles west of Daggett, at N15201 Goodman Park Road; Athelstane. The park and campground are home to Strong Falls, one of Marinette County’s most iconic waterfalls. Goodman Park will remain open all winter for visitor enjoyment, including site seeing, hiking, or photographing the frozen waterfall.
