The City of Menominee approved at this week’s council meeting the launching of a uniform garbage cart system for all its residential homes and some businesses. Menominee City Manager Brett Botbyl says, “GFL, they are giving us two carts. One is a 95-gallon-cart for garbage which will be picked up every week and there’s another one for recycling that will be picked up every-other-week.”

Botbyl says, “any small business is afforded the same opportunity as a resident, as respect to the carts.”

Each Menominee residential and some businesses will receive two complimentary 95-gallon garbage carts. They will be serviced using an automated sideloaded refuse truck. The carts are expected to roll-out sometime in March.
