Last evening, the City of Marinette approved the professional service agreement with Robert E. Lee and Associates to perform engineering services for the proposed reconstruction project along Shing-Wa-Uk, Na-Wa-Ka Drive, and University Drive in the City of Marinette. Board of Public Works Director Brian Miller says, “these roads are currently a rural cross section which means it’s a pavement and a shoulder, and either a roadside ditch or a roadside squale.”
Mayor Steve Genisot says, “utilities felt that these were high priority due to the amount of issues in water main breaks in those areas, as well as sewer issues.”
Currently, there isn’t a timeframe for when the street projects will begin.
