FORMER LAKEWOOD FIRE CHIEF ACCUSED OF EMBEZZLEMENT APOLOGIZES

The former Lakewood Fire Chief accused of embezzling nearly $100,000 is apologizing for his actions. In a letter filed with the Oconto County Court, Christopher Thomson says, “I know what I did wrong. I’m so upset at myself for it. I was trying to make ends meet and support my family. If I could go back in time, I would stop myself from making a really huge mistake.” Thomson is expected back in court on March 3rd for a plea sentencing hearing.
