Mark Vandroff, the current CEO of Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM), is transitioning to a pivotal position as the Senior Vice President of Government Relations at Fincantieri Marine Group in Washington D.C. In this new role, Vandroff will spearhead the company’s interactions with prominent government entities, including the Department of Defense and the Navy, as well as with elected and appointed officials. This move marks a return to D.C. for Vandroff, who initially joined FMG in 2021. Jan Allman, now the Vice President and General Manager of Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding, is no stranger to the operations in Northeast Wisconsin.
Since April 2023, she has held this position, and her prior experience includes serving as FMG’s Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Community Relations. She was also the CEO of Marinette Marine from 2014 to 2021. Marco Galbiati, CEO of Fincantieri Marine Group, expressed his enthusiasm for her return to Marinette, highlighting her significant contributions to the production of Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ships (LCSs) and the initiation of the Frigate program. FMM is progressing with the detailed design of the lead ship for the Constellation-class Frigate (FFG 62) program. Construction activities are set to escalate later this spring, with the lead ship scheduled for delivery in 2029. Additionally, FMM has secured contracts for five more Frigates, ensuring that construction in Marinette will continue robustly for the next decade and beyond.
Marco Galbiati offered his appreciation to both leaders, stating, “I want to thank Mark for his exceptional leadership at FMM, and I look forward to working with him as we navigate our company’s many opportunities with government stakeholders in Washington.” He also welcomed Jan Allman back to Marinette, recognizing her extensive experience and leadership in the shipbuilding sector
