Menominee City Manager Brett Botbyl brought up the discussion of marijuana at Monday evenings city council meeting. Botbyl says, “everybody is talking about the $400,000 that the city received this year from the excise tax.”
Botbyl says, “in this year’s budget that we’re currently in, we had already budgeted for $250,000 dollars of revenue; Which leaves out of the $400,000 dollars only $150,000 dollars left over.”
Both Menominee County and City received $400,000 dollars from the excise tax.
