This morning WPS was reporting 7,486 customers without power in Marinette County. Oconto County had 5,899 customers without power.
The city of Stephenson had 1,555 customers without power, while Menominee had 841. Only 25 Marinette residents were without power.
As of Sunday night, Wisconsin Public Service reported that nearly 54-thousand customers were without power. We Energies had another 12-thousand customers without power. As of last evening, Wisconsin Public Service Crews have restored power to more than 61k customers from this weekend’s storm. Crews are finding significant damage across the area, with the Northwoods hit very hard. Ice-covered trees and limbs are taking down and impacting electric equipment. They have an army of field crews working around the clock, including technicians from across Wisconsin h are coming to the area to help. WPS estimates that 80% of customers who lost power during the ice storm will have it restored by the end of Monday.
The U P and northern lower Michigan were also hard hit by ice. At last report, about 290- thousand are without power over the entire state. They say the majority of Northern Michigan’s restoration is on track to be complete Tuesday, and the hardest hit areas Wednesday.
