Trump announces new mission for Selfridge (MNN)

President Donald Trump has announced a new mission for Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The president told troops gathered in Harrison Township that the base is getting an an F-15 EX fighter mission with 21 aircraft. Leaders have said failure to replace the A-10 mission would result in job losses at the base, which has an 800 MILLION dollar annual economic impact on Macomb County. In a statement, Governor Whitmer, who was at the speech, calls the announcement a huge, bipartisan win for Michigan.
