Real I-D just went into effect and already a Michigan state representative wants to repeal it in the state. State Representative James DeSana says REAL I.D. violates our constitutional rights. He says it violates the tenth amendment , which reserves powers not delegated to the federal government to the states. He says by federalizing drivers licenses, an area historically and constitutionally under state control, REAL ID undermines state sovereignty and individual privacy protections guaranteed under the Fourth Amendment.
