Fatal Crash on State Highway 180 Claims Life of Marinette Teen…

Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller has confirmed that a fatal two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:52 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th, on State Highway 180, just south of Nettleton Road in the Town of Porterfield. According to the initial investigation, a southbound vehicle driven by 39-year-old Jacob S. Lebick of Marinette failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Lebick’s vehicle crossed the center line into the northbound lane, where it collided with an oncoming vehicle operated by 18-year-old Alise C. LaPierre, also of Marinette. LaPierre sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The incident remains under active investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office. Responding agencies included the Wisconsin State Patrol, Grover–Porterfield Fire Department, and Aurora Medical Center – Bay Area EMS.
