As Cellcom continues working to fully restore voice and text services, now is the time for Cellcom customers to have their guard up. Scammers could try to take advantage of this situation. Cellcom says on its website there’s no sign customer data has been compromised by its services being down, but it’s also sharing important reminders to make sure it stays that way. Cellcom says it will never reach out to customers through texts or phone calls asking for personal information. That includes your login credentials, passwords, or credit card and banking information. If you get a call or text asking for any of those details, ignore it. It’s a scammer trying to get access to your account. Another reminder, Cellcom says customers can still reach 911 in the event of an emergency. Data, iMessage and internet services are also working for customers.
