The City of Menominee now hosts an addiction recovery house, providing a safe and supportive environment for five women dealing with drug and alcohol addiction. Operated by Catholic Social Services, this facility helps individuals transition toward independence in their recovery journey. Residents are referred by themselves, treatment facilities, or after leaving jail or prison. They learn life skills, build support networks, find employment, and secure housing while fostering self-discipline and independence. An experienced on-site manager guides them as a Peer Recovery Coach. The program aims to empower residents to rebuild their lives, form meaningful relationships, take part in the community, and gain the skills needed for self-reliance. For more information, contact House Manager Toni Walk at twalk@cssup.org or (906) 290-1490.
