The Sturgeon Bay Police Department has identified the man found dead in the water on Thursday (June 5th). He was 23-year-old Aleksander Hill of Sturgeon Bay. His body was discovered between the Michigan Street Bridge and the Door County Maritime Museum. Preliminary autopsy results show no signs of foul play. A final ruling on the cause and manner of death will come from the Brown County Medical Examiner, pending further testing and investigation. Police say video evidence shows Hill entered the water around 11:30 p.m. on June 4th. Anyone who was in the area of the bridge or museum that night—or who may have information about Hill’s activities—is asked to call Sturgeon Bay Police.
