In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office highlighted that this intersection is just one of several problem areas being monitored. Other locations, such as State Highway 180, Highway 41, and Kamm Road, have also been under scrutiny due to an uptick in fatal crashes in recent months. Officials report that so far in 2025, deputies have conducted approximately 1,550 traffic stops as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety.
