Bite Report:
Panfish remain steady in 6–10 ft of weed cover, dropping deeper in the heat of the day.
Green Bay perch are producing well in 18–30 ft—especially near healthy weed growth.
Largemouth are holding tight to cover. Smallmouth are working rocky points just inside of where walleye are pushing deeper.
Walleye are active along current seams and structure—best feeding continues to be early and late.
Musky and pike are starting to slow—deeper water and faster retrieves are your best shot.
Inland trout are still viable in cool, shaded creeks. Recent rains have helped keep those flows fishable.
Salmon are starting to show offshore near Menominee. Kings are beginning to stage—target stable thermoclines in 42–54°F water.
And channel cats are solid right now in Green Bay tributaries—look for 8–14 ft of water with a steady current. Many are showing up while targeting walleye.
Green Bay Marine Forecast:
Today: Southwest wind 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 ft or less.
Tonight: West wind 5 to 10 knots. Waves 2 ft or less.
Bear Dog Training Advisory:
In Wisconsin, bear dog training is open statewide now through August 31. Dogs may also be trained during the bear hunting season in Zones A, B, and D. Bear baiting is permitted during this time. If you see dog-box trucks along rural roads, know that bears—or dogs—may be crossing. Stay alert, slow down, and be respectful.
