The Peshtigo Police Department is investigating reports of a male suspect passing counterfeit $100 bills at local garage sales. The individual is using these fake bills to make small purchases and receive real cash back as change. The suspect is described as a Male, approximately 5’5” to 5’6” tall, around 230 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and last seen wearing a black cut-off shirt and black jeans.

Peshtigo police have received three fake $100 bills that were passed at garage sales in the City of Peshtigo this weekend. They strongly encourage anyone who hosted a garage sale in the area to carefully inspect any $100 bills you may have received. If you suspect a bill is counterfeit, please do not attempt to use it — instead, contact the Peshtigo Police Department immediately.
