The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office assisted federal authorities during a Department of Homeland Security operation on Thursday, July 24th. Deputies provided a local law enforcement presence and helped maintain peace as representatives from eight federal agencies carried out an investigation at multiple Forte’ Industries locations. Sheriff Darrin Kudwa clarified that the sheriff’s role was strictly support—they did not take part in the investigation itself, nor are they involved in any ongoing federal proceedings. All investigative actions are being handled by federal authorities.
