Seven months after the Stonehouse Restaurant burned to the ground in Escanaba, Mo’s Pub, located two blocks away, caught fire yesterday afternoon at around 1:00. The fire started in the kitchen and spread quickly, heavily damaging the structure and contents. Escanaba Public Safety was being helped by departments as far away as Menominee, Mellen Township, Nadeau and Stephenson. Officers say they battled the blaze for several hours before the fire was put out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
