The Michigan Association of County Clerks has named Menominee County Clerk Marc Kleiman as its 2025 Clerk of the Year. The announcement came during the group’s annual conference at Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant, where clerks from across the state gathered for continuing education and elections of new leaders. The Clerk of the Year is selected by a committee of past winners, based on nominations and criteria set by the association’s board. The award highlights the dedication of Michigan’s 83 elected County Clerks, who not only safeguard elections but also serve as record keepers, clerks to county boards, and clerks of the circuit court.
