Former Ambassador and U.S. Representative Tom Barrett will visit the Marinette area today (8/28/25), at the invitation of the Marinette County Democratic Party.

Barrett served as ambassador to Luxembourg during the Biden Administration and is a former Milwaukee mayor. He is retired and living in Milwaukee.

Barrett will speak about his time and service as ambassador and share insights into his duties and responsibilities in that capacity.

The event is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. The meeting will be held at the Democratic Party office, 1746 Stephenson St., Marinette.

Barrett will begin his remarks at 6 pm. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for light snacks and socializing.
