34-year-old Samantha Wishman of Marinette, convicted of causing the death of her boyfriend’s 3-year-old son was sentenced to 11 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision. She pleaded no contest to child neglect resulting in death in June. The child died after being found unresponsive at a Gilbert Street home on June 15^th, 2023. Wishman claimed he fell down the stairs, but the autopsy revealed severe injuries inconsistent with her account. She also was sentenced to one and a half years in prison with 267 days credit  and 2 years extended supervision on a stalking charge and 1 year in jail with 365 days credit for contempt of court.   The sentences, to be served consecutively were handed down by Judge Peggy Miller on Friday in Marinette Circuit Court.
