Wisconsin investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman whose skeletal remains were found nearly three years ago in Florence County. The remains were discovered by a hunter in October of 2022 in a wooded area. Despite extensive testing, the woman has not been identified. Forensic experts say she was a white and/or Hispanic woman, between 30 and 83 years old, and stood between four-eight and five-four. They believe she may have died sometime between 2007 and 2020 up to 15 years before her remains were found. A hoop earring was also recovered at the scene. Last week, investigators released three composite sketches showing what the woman may have looked like. Anyone with information is asked to call the Wisconsin Department of Justice or the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
