The Marinette Police Department says a 15-year-old boy has died following an ATV crash late Friday night. Just before midnight, officers, firefighters, and EMS were called to Parsek Street and Angwall Drive. Investigators say the teen from Marinette was driving east on Parsek Street when he lost control and was thrown from the ATV. He was not wearing a helmet. He was first taken to Aurora Medical Center–Bay Area, then transferred to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay. On Monday, he passed away from his injuries. The Wisconsin DNR, Marinette Police, and the Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing to investigate. Authorities did not release the victim’s name. His obituary identified the victim as Dixon Polzin.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including Marinette Fire, Rescue, the Sheriff’s Office, and State Patrol. Authorities extend their condolences to the teen’s family during this difficult time.
