Calli Barr, a Democrat running for Michigan’s First Congressional District, says her family’s roots in the district go back five generations.

Barr says she uses “LIFE” as an acronym to guide her values.

Barr is also raising concerns about incumbent congressional representative Jack Bergman’s record, pointing to cuts she says have hurt families across the Upper Peninsula.
