A Green Bay-area cheese plant is preparing to shut down, leaving 240 employees without jobs. Saputo Cheese USA has confirmed it will close its Green Bay facility in December 2025. The company first announced the planned closure back in February 2023, originally projecting it would happen by the end of 2024. Layoffs are now expected to begin on November 1st of next year, with all 240 workers affected. The company informed employees about retention options and potential severance pay, and they posted official notice of the closure at the plant. Saputo Cheese USA says operations will fully end by December 2025.
