On the morning of Friday, Aug. 29, the Marinette police located a vehicle related to a suspicious death investigation in Dane County. A subsequent high-speed chase resulted in the vehicle crashing  near the intersection of US Highway 41 northbound and Schacht Road.

The driver, 23-year-old Andrew Lloyd Collamore, exited the vehicle and approached officers. During the encounter, a law enforcement officer with the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office deployed a Taser, which was ineffective, and two officers with the City of Marinette Police Department discharged their weapons, striking Mr. Collamore, who died at the local hospital.

Officers who discharged their weapons are Marinette Police Officer Parker J. De Los Santos, with 7 years of law enforcement service and  Marinette Police Officer Andrew D. Bonjean, with 19 years of law enforcement service. The law enforcement officers sustained no injuries during the incident. Officers with the Marinette Police Department are on administrative duty as the Wisconsin Department of Justice does its investigation. Once finished, the Wisconsin Department of Justice will give the investigative reports to the Marinette County District Attorney’s office.
