In Menominee, voters will see a new name on the ballot this November. Windy-Marie Kerkela has announced her candidacy for Menominee City Council – Ward 2.  She says her decision to run comes from a desire to give community members a stronger voice in local government.

Windy-Marie says her focus will be on neighborhood safety, economic growth, and making City Hall more accessible to the public. She has been active in community service and says that experience has prepared her to take on the responsibilities of a council member.

The City Council election will take place on Tuesday, November 4th.
