The celebration kicks off Friday, October 17th, at noon with a presentation and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the club’s location at 901 8th Avenue in Menominee. An open house follows from 1 to 6 PM, featuring guided tours and a special exhibit showcasing the club’s rich history.
Executive Director Koreen Gardon says the DAR Boys & Girls Club is one of a kind; the only one in the nation still carrying the “DAR” name, a nod to its roots with the Daughters of the American Revolution, who founded it 110 years ago.
