A winter storm has moved off to the east, but Lake effect snows will continue today in the Upper Peninsula. A blizzard warning is being downgraded to a winter weather advisory as of 10am eastern time.
Forecasters are keeping an eye on another snowstorm that will affect the region Saturday and Sunday, with heaviest amounts expected in Southeast Wisconsin and the Lower Peninsula which could affect travelers heading home after the holiday weekend and fans heading to Detroit for the Menominee Maroons game Sunday morning. The National Weather service says there is a possibility of 6 inches or more in our area, and 10 inches and more in southeast Wisconsin. This time there will be lesser amounts north of our area,
