Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches possible for
Southern Marinette and Oconto Counties
From Saturday morning through late Saturday night.
Travel could be very difficult. Holiday travelers and hunters should
be prepared for snow covered roads and low visibilities.
For Brown and Door Counties and southward WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM SATURDAY TO 6 AM CST SUNDAY…
Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and
9 inches. Locally higher amounts near the Lake Michigan shoreline
in excess of 10 inches are possible, particularly over Kewaunee and
Manitowoc counties.
Post Thanksgiving travel may be affected by winter weather that has returned to much of Michigan. The National Weather Service is reporting 18 to 21 inches of snow near Grayling and west of Gaylord. Lake effect snow will continue through this afternoon. Parts of the western Upper Peninsula have more than 30 inches of snow on the ground. Winter storm warnings remain in effect in northern Lower Michigan and in the U.P. As much as six inches of snow could fall this weekend in parts of southern lower Michigan.
