Work begins today on two major Marinette intersections: Cleveland Avenue at Marinette Avenue, and Hattie Street at Hall Avenue.
Crews will be upgrading the traffic signal systems at both locations. Improvements include new traffic-control cabinets with battery backup, the addition of flashing yellow arrows, and new signal heads placed over each travel lane to boost safety and visibility.
The project will bring intermittent lane closures and full road closures as needed. When an intersection is shut down, a signed detour will reroute drivers around the work zone.
The city expects the project to wrap up by December 3rd, but motorists should plan for delays throughout the duration. Drivers are urged to slow down, use caution near workers, and be patient when navigating detours.
