Candidate filings are now in for several City of Marinette Common Council seats ahead of the upcoming election. In Ward Three, voters will see a contested race between Dylan Demmith and Michael E. Ebsch. Incumbent Alderman Douglas Oitzinger has filed a notice of non-candidacy, confirming he will not seek re-election. Ward Seven will also feature a competitive race. Chuck Rowell Junior and Chris Lesperance have both entered the race. Current Alderman Richard Polzin has filed a non-candidacy form and will not be running again. Meanwhile in Ward Eight, incumbent Alderman Tom Karban has filed paperwork to run again and, at this time, remains unopposed.
