The Marinette County District Attorney’s Office announced that yesterday Brady Peeters was sentenced to 18 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision in connection with a drug delivery causing a drug overdose death that occurred in the City of Niagara in January of 2021. Following a jury trial on January 15^th of this year the 28 year old Peeters of Iron Mountain was convicted of 1^st degree reckless homicide as party to a crime for delivering the fentanyl which caused the death of Casey Ashburn. He was also convicted of Possession with intent to deliver narcotic drugs, fentanyl, 2^nd and subsequent offense, as party to a crime in May of 2024 for a separate incident in March 2021.  Four co-defendants were previously sentenced for their connection to the reckless homicide and are currently serving sentences in prison.
