The Marinette County District Attorney’s Office announced that yesterday Brady Peeters was sentenced to 18 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision in connection with a drug delivery causing a drug overdose death that occurred in the City of Niagara in January of 2021. Following a jury trial on January 15th of this year the 28 year old Peeters of Iron Mountain was convicted of 1st degree reckless homicide as party to a crime for delivering the fentanyl which caused the death of Casey Ashburn. He was also convicted of Possession with intent to deliver narcotic drugs, fentanyl, 2nd and subsequent offense, as party to a crime in May of 2024 for a separate incident in March 2021. Four co-defendants were previously sentenced for their connection to the reckless homicide and are currently serving sentences in prison.
