Celebrated nationwide on the second Tuesday of August, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes strong partnerships between law enforcement, emergency responders, and the citizens they serve. City of Marinette Marketing and Tourism Director Shawn Katzbeck says, “it’s just going to be awesome, we’re going to have police, fire, EMS, sheriff department, all of those are coming to the Community REC Center on Tuesday, August 1st.”
Community Members are also invited to attend the mid-county area’s second annual National Night Out Celebration at Veterans Memorial Park and Campground in Spalding Township. The Menominee County Fire Association – Recruitment and Retention Committee has again taken the lead on organizing the community event. Both National Night Out’s begin at 4pm and go until 8pm.
