On Tuesday CASA of Menominee/Marinette held a swearing-in ceremony for three new advocates at its first ever ceremony conducted jointly by judges from Menominee and Marinette Counties. Judge James Morrison from Marinette County and Judge Dan Hass from Menominee County took part.The Court Appointed Special Advocate program recently conducted its fall training, with 3 new advocates completing. CASA of Menominee/Marinette conducts regular trainings to continue its ongoing mission of making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family. Court Appointed Special Advocates are trained volunteers appointed by judges to advocate for children in the child welfare system.
