Michigan legalized recreational cannabis use in 2018 and licensed sales began in 2019. Since then, billboards advertising marijuana products have seemed to take over some highways and roads. All of them were legal and regulated by the Marijuana Regulatory Agency. The tight restrictions on advertising in Michigan have left billboards as the primary option for cannabis dispensaries to reach consumers.
