The Wisconsin Supreme Court has suspended a Milwaukee judge accused of helping a man escape immigration authorities. The state’s highest court took the action against Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan Tuesday, saying it’s in the public interest to temporarily relieve her of her duties. The FBI took Dugan into custody Friday morning at the county courthouse. She faces federal charges of concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest and obstructing or impeding a proceeding after allegedly helping Eduardo Flores-Ruiz evade ICE at the courthouse. Flores-Ruiz was charged with battery and abuse following an altercation with his roommates in Milwaukee. Prosecutors say he is in the country illegally.
