THE COLEMAN LIBRARY IS CLOSED UNTIL MONDAY DUE TO A FIRE

The Coleman Fire Chief and Police Department have shared an image of a sign on the library door announcing its temporary closure. The fire occurred late Wednesday morning.  Streets surrounding the library were temporarily closed while firefighters attended to the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fire was electrical in nature and caused approximately $1,000 in damages. The librarian managed to extinguish most of the fire, although there was some smoke damage.  Fire officials have described the fire as minor.
