During her impactful maiden deployment, she recently completed her third successful drug interdiction. On May 1st, the Littoral Combat Ship intercepted a suspected smuggling vessel, building upon two previous interdiction in April that led to the seizure of over $12 million in narcotics. In this latest operation, LCS 21’s boarding team recovered 22 bales of suspected cocaine. The USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul continues to play a critical role in combating illicit trafficking and enhancing regional security throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
